Abstract
From 1919 to his death, Sigmund Freud was treated for a
maxillary jawbone cancer by two exceptional surgeons, the
Austrian, Hans Pichler, and the American, Varaztad Kazanjian.
Escaping the Nazi regime, he went into exile in England where he
died after numerous recurrences of the disease.
