Design for an Intelligent BIM Based Energy Management System

Li-Hong Juang*, Wei-Ya Fong and Lixin Zheng 25 Feb 2016

PDF
Abstract:

Building information modeling (BIM), it means a digital simulation of buildings with real information. Information connotation of just geometry description also contains a large number of non-geometric properties of information. Through discussion explores technologies such as BIM exhibition hall at an experimental building renovation of energy control systems of various types of applications, hoping to provide a new perspective to explore the building energy management.

Computer Vision Methodology for Structural Health Monitoring

Li-Hong Juang*, Wei-Jen Chen and Lixin Zheng 12 Feb 2016

PDF
Abstract:

Currently, the security of large civil engineering structures more and more people's attention, health monitoring study civil engineering at home and abroad is one of the hot topics of research. After a hundred years of research, the traditional structural health monitoring theories and methods continue to improve, and now there have been a lot to be able to use the results of the actual engineering and have been widely applied to large bridges and other structures, but there is a lot of its own defect. With the development of computer technology, people began to use computer vision to health monitoring, and gradually formed a monitoring method of mechanical vision. This paper introduces the significance and application health monitoring methods, and some of the traditional health monitoring methods are introduced. Then reviewed the development and the use of machine vision health status monitoring, and finally to crack measuring, for example, using wavelet recognition method for image recognition and analysis of fracture.

Planning of the Geographic Information System Application to Agricultural Land Use

Li-Hong Juang*, Dan Yang and Lixin Zheng 30 Jan 2016

PDF
Abstract:

The land resources are an important resource for human survival; rational planning of land resources is conducive to the rational allocation and use of resources, promoting social and economic stability growth. Traditional land use planning results are generally in the form of drawings and documents, difficult to manage, and difficult to promote the public good. Traditional data management systems and methods in the face of complex systems generate vast amounts of data, especially large amounts of spatial information data, the system has been unable to efficiently handle. Therefore, in traditional data management methods cannot meet the social and economic development; we need to use information technology, new theories, new methods of agricultural land use planning. The study was conducted on agricultural land use planning in Guangdong Province in Geographic Information Systems study, which aims to make agricultural land use planning and management of information in Guangdong Province, scientific and systematic. Specific studies include: basic concepts and knowledge of geographic information systems and agricultural planning studies land; GIS how the actual space content digitizing method to explore; to build the relevant geographic information database and on the basis of agricultural land use planning GIS of the evaluation and Prediction of three parts. Purpose, background, domestic and international research profiles, GIS application in agriculture and basic application development process, from the topic of the article research methods, solutions, principles, processes and procedures digitized, implementation-dependent applications, as well as evaluation and prediction, construction and integration of database information, and other aspects of the main conclusions and recommendations are discussed.

Phase Border Removing of MRI Brain Image by Wavelet Transform with Symmetrization Technique

Li-Hong Juang* and Lixin Zheng 23 Dec 2015

PDF
Abstract:

We present a preliminary design and experimental results of phase discontinuity relaxation method for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) phase images that utilizes wavelet transform algorithm with symmetrization technique. The method is capable of solving ambiguity problem in MRI phase image by removing the border boundary. The key idea of wavelet transform algorithm is to solve the given MRI phase data by operating frequency domain relaxation in coarse grids and transferring the intermediate result into finer grids. In this paper we investigate the possibility of employing this approach for phase image based-MRI application. We also evaluate and compare these processed images with the original image. The application of the proposed method for unborder phase is demonstrated.

Levitation Effect Study based on a Disc-type Piezoelectric Ultrasonic Stator

Li-Hong Juang* and Lixin Zheng 04 Dec 2015

PDF
Abstract:

The objective of the paper is to gain a deeper understanding of the levitating behavior of the disc type ultrasonic stator for possible application on moving object. For the purpose, some axial vibration measurements were made to investigate levitation motion on the stator surface and explore its possible application on the linear, surfing and shaft types of bearing less ultrasonic motor. Dynamic response also was investigated and compared with some analytical results. The result showed that the levitation capacity decreased with driving frequency increase.
